The Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) North will provide state-of-the-art facilities for existing aircraft and passengers. This will aid daily operations and add flexibility for ongoing modernization needed at other terminals. The concourse will stand between the north and south runways about 1,300 feet west of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The present project will be a new 800,000 sq. ft. terminal that will accommodate large jumbo jet planes, like the A380, with higher gates and larger passenger hold areas. This $1.25B project will bring an eleven gate multi-level concourse, associated aircraft parking aprons, taxiways/ taxi-lanes, and utilities to the nation’s third busiest commercial airport.
