The new FIS facility at the San Diego International Airport is a world-class international arrivals facility consisting of approximately 54,572 square feet of new construction with an additional 70,438 square feet of existing interior modifications making the new facility five times larger than the previous facility.

The San Diego Airport is the largest single runway airport in the country and local San Diegans know there’s not much room to expand. For this reason, several parts of Terminal 2 had to be repurposed and partially demolished in order to accommodate the new facility. The FIS expansion features the addition of six (6) international gates, the latest technologies from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, expanded baggage claim and passenger wait area and 74,000 square feet of make-ready and remodel space.
