The Boro

December 15, 2020

The Boro was named one of the top three Clark Mid-Atlantic Projects ‘Best of’ 2020. Engineering News-Record (ENR) Mid-Atlantic Regional Best Projects Awards announced their winners and Clark Construction received the “Award of Merit”. Helix Electric was a subcontractor on this project.–a 16-acre mixed-use development in Northern Virginia that includes three residential buildings, a five-story office building, and a vibrant mix of retail and entertainment spaces. In total, there are three residential buildings that range in size from 13 to 32 stories.

Overlooking Boro Park, each building has unique features. Bolden is a 133-apartment residence with various social spaces. Rise and Bolden are built atop one of the largest Whole Foods Markets in the country. It also includes residential space, fitness centers, yoga studios, club rooms with entertainment kitchens, and pools with lounging areas. The third residential space, Verse, is a 25-story condominium building containing 140 luxury units with a high-performance fitness studio, pet spa, and entertainment kitchen.

All three of these residence buildings are connected on the 9th level by “SkyPark”, which is a shared outdoor amenity space with a theater, bar area, grilling stations, bocce court, fire pits, and lounges overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Helix Electric is proud to be part of this project and especially excited for ENR’s recognition. We look forward to working again with Clark Construction on future projects.
