Summary: The 469,120 square foot pavilion building will comprise three above-grade levels with a partial basement having direct connection to the south and east face of the existing Davis Tower building and have a structural steel frame with metal deck and a precast exterior cladding system. Scope of the work includes significant electrical systems required to support a state-of-the-art acute care hospital facility for a major academic medical center. Systems include lighting, power (both normal and emergency), low-voltage information systems infrastructure and equipment, medical systems such as nurse call and patient monitoring, dietary department including cafeteria and kitchen facility, radiation shielding, security systems and fire alarm and fire suppression systems. The Pavilion project will provide replacement space for several critical functions now located in seismically deficient portions of the hospital. Replacement functions include a new Level III Trauma Emergency Services Department, Radiology Imaging Department (with CT, PET Scan, and MRI), Cardiology Services, Central Processing, a 24-room Operating Theater, two surgical Intensive Care Units, a Burn Unit, Clinical Laboratory functions, Food and Nutrition Services, a new lobby and other specialty clinics.
